Burns, Charles M.

RAVENA — Charles M. Burns, "Yaz," passed away at home on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

Charles was born to Charles W. and the late Josephine Burns. He retired after 30 years from Owens Corning. Charles was a social member of the Coeymans Fire Company and a past member of the Knights Of Columbus. He was an avid golfer playing in the senior league. His seven grandchildren were his whole world.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the St. Peter’s Oncology group for all of their care and support.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Cindy L. Pemberton Burns; children, Michael C. and Stephen J. Burns; grandchildren, Zachary, Matthew, Troy, Thomas, Taryn, Gabrielle, and Tegan; father, Charles W. Burns; siblings, Joann Firstiun (Carl), Linda Thron (Rick), Maryann Leonardo, Debbie Marks (Joe), and Joseph Burns (Teri); mother-in-law, Joan Pemberton; sisters-in-law, Michelle Pemberton and Terry Pemberton; and many nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by his mother, Josephine Burns; and father-in-law Clifton Pemberton.

Friends and family may call at the Babcock Funeral Home on Saturday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
