Voices can heal, and with Jose Daniel Flores Caraballo at the helm, voices can unite with powerful emotion. Albany Pro Musica completes its season Sunday at the sumptuously acoustic Troy Music Hall with Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem, or A German Requiem. If you haven’t heard this choral group yet, you are missing out.

Mother’s Day
Celebrate Mom and take her to this annual event that begins with a pancake (and more) breakfast at 8 a.m., then stick around for a chicken barbecue in the afternoon. In between, there will be a bake sale, a Veterans Memorial Program at 1 p.m. and hourly tours of the cemetery and mansion starting at 9 a.m.

If Mom would rather watch something than eat, head to Hudson Falls and watch“zigzag,” a new dark romantic-comedy musical that asks the question: What would you tell your younger self about love?

Ozzy and Sharon chose this group to launch the inaugural Ozzifiesta music festival, so you know their cred is good. Black Sabbitch joins other touring all-female metal tribute bands (Lez Zeppelin, The Iron Maidens) and stops in Albany for some head-crushing power chords.
