Mccauliffe strikes out 19 of 21 on way to perfect game

Lily Mccauliffe struck out 19 of 21 batters in throwing a perfect game to lead Greenwich to a 7-0 win over Hoosic Valley in a Wasaren League softball game.

Morgan Randall had two singles and Maddie Curley doubled to lead the Witches offensivel­y.

More softball: Hadley Donnelly allowed two hits and struck out nine to spark Ballston Spa to a 6-0 win over Albany. Madelyn Perrone hit a two-run home run and Maggie Lyon hit a solo shot for the Scotties . ... Anna Cleary slugged a three-run home run to help Bethlehem get past visiting Columbia, 6-4, in another Suburban contest . ... Olivia Decitise struck out 12 over six innings and added a two-run double to lead Troy to a 9-2 win over Niskayuna. Kierra Laranjo and Katie Pryor both singled, doubled and drove in two runs for the Flying Horses.

Baseball: Ravena topped Cohoes, 3-0, in a Colonial Council game. Jayden Mcclellan struck out five and walked four in going the distance. Wyatt Algozzine had a two-run triple for Ravena . ... Behind Sam Falace’s pitching and Tyler Figueroa’s bat Colonie edged Shaker 2-1 in a Suburban Council game. Figueroa got Colonie started early when he doubled in a run on an 0-2 count in the first inning. Figueroa knocked in the other run for Colonie in the sixth inning. Figueroa and Daniel Barbero both had two hits. Falace, a lefty, allowed one earned run on three hits and struck out nine.ryan Bates gave up five hits, walked two and struck out eight for the Blue Bison . ... Adrian Caron scattered three hits and struck out eight to spark Queensbury to a 4-0 win over Schuylervi­lle. Caron also doubled and drove in a run in the win. It was the 1,000th victory in program history.

Boys’ tennis: Ichabod Crane defeated La Salle, 5-2, in a Colonial matchup. The Riders, who climbed to 9-1 with the win, had singles’ wins from Ean Lantzy, Brett Richards, Liam Curry and Holden Reynolds. The team of Ryan Antalek and Quinn Rapport got a win in doubles for Ichabod Crane. La Salle dipped to 7-4 with the loss.
