Police: Man, 22, falsely claimed he was an RN

QUEENSBURY — A Saratoga Springs man tried to portray himself as a New York state registered nurse to get a summer school nursing job with the Queensbury school district, according to the Warren County Sheriff 's Office.

The suspect, 22, of Caroline Street was a substitute aide at the school who provided fraudulent credential­s, deputies said. He was charged with felonies of offering a false instrument for filing, unauthoriz­ed practice of a profession and burglary, and he was arraigned and released pending a court appearance. An order of protection was issued barring him from Queensbury school property.

After his arraignmen­t, he was turned over to the State Police on pending criminal charges relating to similar fraudulent activities in the town of Wilton, deputies said.
