Greenway plan detailed

- News staff Albany

The proposed route for the Patroon Creek Greenway, connecting Albany's Hudson River waterfront to Six Mile Waterworks Park and Rensselaer Lake in the Pine Bush Preserve, will be presented beginning Saturday.

The first chance to review the Capital District Transportation Committee's 8.8-mile route is at Albany's Tulip Festival in Washington Park on Saturday.

A consultant team will present the route and opportunities for the public to weigh in on a range of amenities at the

Sustainability Tent.

Other opportunities include:

■ The Empire State Plaza Farmer's Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 18.

■ Outside in the garden patio at the Honest Weight Food Co-op from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19.

■ A virtual public presentation is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 24.

The trail would mainly use a right-ofway now sitting idle and would allow neighborhoods to connect with regional work, education, and recreational destinations. For more information, visit patroongreenway.com.
