Rapp, Evelyn I.

COLONIE — Evelyn I. Rapp, age 104 of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2022.

Born on April 16, 1918, in Rensselaer, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Amy Pulver. She was predeceased by her husband, John E. Rapp Jr.; her siblings, Jesse, Roger, Everett, Harry, Arthur, and Gladys; and her grandchildren, Scott Flanders and Kelly Farrington.

Evelyn worked as a service clerk for the N.Y.S. Department of Labor in Albany for 30 years. She also worked in the security office at SUNY Albany for 10 years. She was a life member of the VFW in New York and Florida, and the Colonie Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughters, Bonita I. (David) Flanders and Diana Benante; grandchildren, Caitlin Farrington, David (Kaitlin) Ashley, John (Danielle) Ashley, and Lisa (Scott) Flanders-monheimer; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A calling hour will be held on Thursday, May 12, from 10 to 11 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Catricala Funeral Home Inc., 1597 Route 9, Clifton Park. Burial will follow in the Saratoga National Cemetery.
