A 60-year-old Partridge Street woman was shot Tuesday by a man who stood on her front porch and opened fire, police said.

Paramedics treated the woman for a gunshot wound to the abdomen. She was listed in stable condition Wednesday at Albany Medical Center Hospital.

The incident occurred at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday. So far police have made no arrests.

The victim’s neighbor, in a social media post, said the shooting occurred after she said something to a man who appeared to be trying to steal his motorcycle, parked in front of his house. The neighbor posted a security video of the incident on Facebook.

The three-and-a-half-minute video shows the assailant walk onto the porch, pull a gun and fire a shot into the window. The man remains on the porch for a few moments before casually walking down the street.

In the clip, the suspect appears to fiddle with his firearm after discharging the single shot.

Police acknowledged they were aware of the video and did not dispute its narrative. They couldn’t confirm on Wednesday if the suspect’s gun had jammed as claimed by the man who filmed the incident.

The neighbor who filmed the shooting did not respond to an interview request sent through social media on Wednesday.

Police confirmed the assailant and victim did not know each other and the shooting remains under investigation.

“A lot of the circumstances remain under investigation,” police spokesman Steve Smith said.

Police urged people to share evidence and information.
