Little Lamb’s Chop market in business in Rotterdam

The Little Lamb’s Chop, a market carrying meat, fish and Caribbean goods, has been open since mid-march at 2068 Curry Road in Rotterdam, taking over what for about 100 years was the poultry purveyor and food-service provider Sahr’s.

In addition to beef, chicken, lamb, duck and goat, The Little Lamb’s Chop offers whole or filleted snapper, king weakfish, shark, smelt, sea bass, salmon, swordfish and a variety of shellfish.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekends. The Facebook page is active, but though the shop’s sign mentions thelittlelambschop.com, the website isn’t operational yet.

Sahr’s Poultry Farm was founded a century ago and operated under different names over the years, most recently as Sahr’s Food Inc. It appears to have closed last year.
