Drucker’s no-hitter lifts Albany Academy

Aviv Drucker tossed a fiveinning no-hitter to lead Albany Academy to a 15-3 win over Cohoes on Friday in a Colonial Council baseball contest in Albany.

Drucker struck out 10, walking just one, in his five innings of work but surrendere­d three unearned runs helped by four Cadet errors. Geno Savoca was 2-for-2 with a triple, two walks and two RBIS to lead the Albany Academy offense.

Zak Halloran had a walk and a run scored to lead Cohoes.

More baseball: Jerry Stalker hit two home runs, including a game-ending blast in the seventh inning as Maple Hill outlasted Greenville 22-21 in a wild Patroon Conference game. Colby Frazier pitched a scoreless seventh inning to earn his first varsity win. The Spartans twice had big innings in the fifth and sixth to take the lead —including 12 runs in the sixth — only to have Maple

Hill respond and reclaim the lead.

Softball: Lucy Lembo had three hits, scored a run and knocked in another to lead Albany to a 5-2 win over Averill Park. Sydney Speanburg allowed one earned run over seven innings of five-hit ball. Speanburg walked one and walked eight . ... Fonda clinched a share of the Western Athletic Conference crown with a 20-7 win over host Mayfield. Kamryn Walton had three doubles, a single and scored five runs and Emma Crahan smacked a two-run home run to lead Fonda. Alexis Broderick had a solo home run, double and three RBIS for Mayfield, which dipped to 12-6 and 5-3 in league play with the loss.

Boys’ lacrosse: Rorick Perry scored seven goals and had an assist to help Mohonasen-schenectad­y double-up Catholic Central 12-6. Gabe Perino scored two goals and added two assists to lead Catholic Central.

Girls’ lacrosse: Liv Nevo scored three goals to reach 30 for the season and 64 for her varsity career to lead Albany to a 17-3 win over Amsterdam. Cassidy Foley and Allison O’connor both had four goals for the Falcons.
