ALBANY — Lasone D. Garland-bryan, 62, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital after an extended illness, surrounded by her loving family.

Lasone is survived by her beloved husband, Bernard H. Bryan Sr.; her father, Benjamin Garland; siblings, Rodney Garland (Sheila), Gregory Garland (Inez), Lillian Garland, Phillippa Garlandwilcox, and James Garland, all of Albany; a host of nieces and nephews; one stepson; five aunts; one uncle; five godchildren and numerous cousins. Lasone was predeceased by her mother, Jeanette Garland; her sister, Benita E. Garland; a special nephew, Gregory Garland Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Kenneth Wilcox.

Friends and family are invited to attend a home going ceremony in the Metropolitan New Testament Mission Baptist Church, 105 Second St., Albany on May 19, starting at 11 a.m. Viewing at that location will be available between 9 and 10:45 a.m. The service will be livestreamed on the church’s website. Interment will be in Memory Gardens in Colonie.
