Cassidy, Philip J. "John" Jr.

— Philip J. "John" Cassidy Jr. of Watervliet passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022.

He was the son of the late Philip J. and Mary Ann (Piche) Cassidy. He is survived by his wife, Tracie (Miller); and his children who he loved more than they will know, Philip J. Cassidy III (Jennifer Meglino Cassidy), Ryan C. Cassidy (Katelyn Markellos), Justus J. Cassidy, Liam C. Cassidy and Angelica M. Cassidy. He is also survived by his siblings, Christopher (Darcy) Cassidy, Alice Cassidy, Margaret "Peggy" (Ralph) Cioffi, James (Mary Kay) Cassidy; and his adored grandson Philip J. "Jack" Cassidy IV, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

John loved football, Frank Sinatra, old western movies and his canine companions Nuala, Thor, and Bailey. John was smart and resourceful. He applied his early experience as an electrician to become a resourceful fixer in the latter part of his life. Beyond his rugged exterior he was a loving and generous soul with a playful sense of humor who would do anything he could for those he loved.

His family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Kevin Costello for the extraordinary care he gave to John, and Community Hospice nurses Gail Mccormack and Angel Parks.
