Schaap, Priscilla

EAST BERNE — Priscilla Schaap, 64 of East Berne, died peacefully on May 13, 2022.

She was born on August 14, 1957, to the late Morris and Anna Willsey of Berne. Priscilla was a baker and cake decorator for much of her life, which included working at Altamont Orchards, Grand Union and Hannaford. Her work schedule meant early wake-ups and long hours to provide for her children. She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, animals, and the outdoors.

Surviving are her soulmate and life partner of 34 years, Edward Pogoda; her daughter, Lisa Schaap; her son, Jason Schaap; five siblings and 19 grandchildren.

There will be no services.
