Supreme Court could well go beyond Roe
Just as Abraham Lincoln in the 1850s feared that the “next case” after Dred Scott would nationalize slavery, we must wonder if, in the next case after the Roe v. Wade overruling expected this year, the U.S. Supreme Court will hold abortion unconstitutional even in states like New York that have authorized it.
Plainly, the ultimate aim of the pro-life movement is the nationwide ban of abortion, and the Supreme Court is the most effective tool to that end.
