Sanders, Linda T.

COLONIE — Linda T. Sanders, 67, the wife of the late Sterling Sanders, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at her home.

Born on December 18, 1954, in Albany, she was the daughter of Reverend Thomas R. Edmond and the late Ruby Edmonds.

Mrs. Sanders graduated from Philip Schuyler High School. She worked for many years at Albany Medical Center and the Center of Disability. She loved to dress up and put on her dancing shoes. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife. She always had a smile on her face and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her father, Reverend Thomas R. Edmond; her loving son, Willie (Jill) Turner; and two grandsons, Kashawn and Logan. She is also survived by her sister, Cynthia Edmonds; and her brothers, Everett Edmonds and Thomas R. Edmonds Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her husband, Sterling, she was predeceased by her brother, Curtis A. Edmonds.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie with a service following at 12 p.m. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Delaware Avenue, Albany.
