Quinlisk, William "Bill"

DELMAR — William "Bill" Quinlisk died peacefully on May 16, 2022, at the age of 70, after a heroic fight against cancer.

He was born on September 27, 1951. A graduate of St. John Fisher College, and having earned a Master of Education from Nazareth College, Bill devoted his career to cultivating young minds through teaching and coaching. He taught at St. Ambrose Elementary School, Mcquaid Jesuit High School, and the Rochester City School District before retiring in 2009. But running was his passion, which he shared with young people by coaching track and cross country at many schools, including Mcquaid Jesuit High School, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Rensselaer Polytechnical Institute. Bill instilled in his runners the belief that working towards a goal can be done with joy and laughter.
