Bob Mould with J. Robbins

-

A When: 8 p.m., Wednesday

A Where: Lark Hall, 351

Hudson Ave., Albany

A Review: Even all by himself, Bob Mould can kick up a lot of noise. The punk-and-alternative rock icon came to Lark Hall on Wednesday for a solo electric appearance and delivered an impassioned, career-spanning concert to a couple hundred enthusiastic fans. Recent tracks like the fiery “Forecast of Rain” and “Sunshine Rock” fit in nicely with his early ’80s Husker Du classics “Something I Learned Today” and “Makes No Sense at All.” In good spirits throughout, Mould’s voice was excellent and he absolutely ripped on guitar. With 40-plus years of playing to his name, Mould’s sustained energy, drive and skills aren’t just laudable, they’re incredible.
