— Edwin L. Uline, 92, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022. He was born in Ballston Spa, N.Y. on June 22, 1929, to Merrill and Emily Uline.

Ed was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army and received special training with the U.S. Marine Corp. After being honorably discharged, Ed came home to Ballston Spa and married Margaret O’malley. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Saratoga County Highway Department for many years.

Ed joined the Union Fire Co #2 in Ballston Spa in 1948. He held numerous positions including chief of BSFD, foreman, chief mechanic, training officer, and engineer. He was dedicated to his community and served the fire company for 74 years. Ed enjoyed being in the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was the founder of the East Stony Hunting Club.

He was predecease­d by his parents, Merrill and Emily, and his brothers Frederick and Walter. Ed is survived by his wife, Margaret, and their son Edwin Uline, Jr. (Rosalind Spiller); and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, May 25, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, May 26, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylervi­lle.
