Celtics’ Gallinari suffers torn ACL

BOSTON — New Celtics forward Danilo Gallinari suffered a torn ACL in his left knee, which will likely cause him to miss most of the 202223 season and possibly all of it.

The 34-year-old Gallinari injured his knee while playing for the Italian national team Saturday during a FIBA World Cup qualifying game against Georgia.

Bueckers won’t leave Uconn

STORRS, Conn. — Paige Bueckers intends to play basketball in the 202324 season for Connecticu­t after recovering from an ACL injury that’s sidelined her this season.
