O’connor sparks Spartans to win

Burnt Hills star scores 20 points vs. Niskayuna in league victory

Bolstered by a huge secondquar­ter run, Burnt Hills-ballston Lake rallied from an early deficit and beat Niskayuna 54-41 on the road Thursday in a Suburban Council girls’ basketball game.

Grace O’connor countered with three 3-pointers to spark a 20-5 second-quarter run that gave Burnt Hills the lead for good.

O’connor finished with a game-high 20 points. M.K. Lescault added 13 points in the win.

O’meally and Jackie Reffelt both had 10 for Niskayuna.
