New in Albany: Fatty’s Uptown brings pizza, pub fare to Colvin Avenue spot

Fatty’s Uptown, a self-described “pizza and burgers joint,” opened Sunday at 11 Colvin Ave., a restaurant space that most recently was Pastina Bistro prior to its move to Delmar and, before that, the Caribbean restaurant Trinbago and Dave’s Uptown Noodle.

The pub-food menu includes fried apps, a few salads, sandwiches, two-patty smashburgers, mac-n-cheese variations and pizza by the pie and slice.

Hours are listed as 4 to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday, 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday. The restaurant’s website says it is open only for takeout at the moment, but the Facebook page mentions the seating (limited to 12 people), and the Facebook page lists dinein as well as takeout. Online ordering appears to be functional, though a note on Facebook requesting customer patience in the early days says online orders will be limited. The telephone number is 518- 472-0868.
