awarded a $150,000 grant to

to encourage high school students interested in nursing careers. The I Can Achieve a Degree in Nursing program will create a collaborat­ive mentorship model for underserve­d youth to achieve a bachelor’s degree in nursing and employment as a registered nurse. It will focus on the Capital Region Black, Indigenous and people of color communitie­s. Sage will work with Albany Medical Center, the Black Nurses Coalition and Albany Leadership

Charter School for Girls.

Greene County residents in the 2023 graduating class may apply for the $1,000 annual Beecher Scholarshi­p. The Historical Society establishe­d the scholarshi­p in 2007 to honor late author and county historian Raymond Beecher, who was a driving force behind the society’s saving of the Thomas Cole National Historic site.
