The hold their annual fundraising breakfast March 18 at the Pawling Avenue Methodist Church, 520 Pawling Ave., Troy. Doors open at 8 a.m. Scouts serve pancakes and bacon until 10:30 a.m. Cost: $8 for adults; $5 for ages 10 and younger.

The
Mother Cabrini Health Foundation Russell Sage College’s Department of Nursing
awarded a $150,000 grant to
to encourage high school students interested in nursing careers. The I Can Achieve a Degree in Nursing program will create a collaborative mentorship model for underserved youth to achieve a bachelor’s degree in nursing and employment as a registered nurse. It will focus on the Capital Region Black, Indigenous and people of color communities. Sage will work with Albany Medical Center, the Black Nurses Coalition and Albany Leadership
Charter School for Girls.
Greene County residents in the 2023 graduating class may apply for the $1,000 annual Beecher Scholarship. The Historical Society established the scholarship in 2007 to honor late author and county historian Raymond Beecher, who was a driving force behind the society’s saving of the Thomas Cole National Historic site. More than 330 guests attending the Friends of Bassett Healthcare Network’s fifth annual Valentine’s Soirée Feb. 11 at the Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown helped raise more than $250,000 in support of Bassett’s Schoolbased Health and Dental Program.
