Delpozzo, Vincent J. “Vinnie” Jr.

WEST ALBANY — Vincent J. “Vinnie” Delpozzo Jr., 59, entered eternal life on Sunday, February 19, 2023.

Born in Albany, he was the son of Lucy C. Valenti Delpozzo and the late Vincent J. Delpozzo Sr. Vinnie was a graduate of Colonie Central High School and Hudson Valley Community College. He initially worked as a refrigerat­ion and appliance repair technician, followed by many years as a dispatcher with Capitaland Taxi Co., and then as a provider of independen­t ride-sharing services.

Those who knew him well would describe him as creative, artistic, comedic, and charismati­c. His many interests included bowling, building model train sets, listening to music, and playing video games.

He was the father of Danielle Delpozzo Giulian (Mito

( chael); grandfathe­r of Ashton and Eli; former husband of Ann Murray; and brother of Daniel J. Delpozzo. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Vinnie’s family on Monday, February 27, from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the Mcveigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen St., Albany. Please enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot entrance only. His funeral Mass will follow at 2 p.m. in Christ Our Light Catholic Church, Loudonvill­e. The Rite of Committal will be held in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery immediatel­y following the funeral Mass.
