- By Katherine Kiessling

SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center will be returning this summer to the Spa Little Theatre for its 10th-season collaboration with the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. The summer residency will run June 11 through Aug. 20 and highlight 19 classic and contemporary composers over a sixconcert season.

“From Classic to Modern,” featuring works from Brahms, Beethoven and Bloch, kicks off the summer season June 11 followed by “Great Quintets” by Mozart, Dohnanyi and Dvorak on June 18. Audiences will take a musical trip “From Vienna to Paris” July 18, and guest artists the Miro String Quartet perform July 23. “Spanish Journey” is on the schedule for Aug. 13 and “New Classics,” featuring quintets from Bloch and Suk, will conclude the season on Aug. 20.

Chamber Music Society Artist Directors Wu Han and David Finckel will anchor the season along with 20 guest artists.

Last fall, SPAC announced it was extending the Chamber Music Society’s residency yearround with three additional concerts. The summer series will follow two concerts this spring, “Voices of the Americas” at 7 p.m. March 18 and “An evening with David, Wu Han and Arnaud” at 7 p.m. May 13, both held at the Spa Little Theatre.

For the 2021 and 2022 summer seasons, the Chamber Music Society performed at the open-side greenhouse at Pitney Meadows Community Farm, mainly to address COVID concerns, but also allowing for some renovations at the Spa Little Theatre, which included updating its bathrooms and new tiling and fixtures.

All summer concerts will take place at 3 p.m. at the Spa Little Theatre. Six-show subscriptions, ranging from $258 to $378, are available now. Individual tickets, $48 to $68, will be available to members March 2 and the general public March 9.
