— We are sad to announce the passing of Francis P. Fleming, a longtime resident of Averill Park, who passed away peacefully in his home at age 85 on February 25, 2023.

He was born in Troy on November 17, 1937, and was the son of William and Florence Fleming. He was the loving husband of Angela Pitaniello of 65 years, whom he married on February 2, 1958, and raised four daughters with. He grew up in Poestenkill on the family farm with his three sisters. Frank graduated from La Salle Institute in Troy and went on to work at Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation for 37 years where he made long-standing friendships. Frank retired in 1994 and focused his energy on creating treasured memories with his family and friends.
