The Clark Art Institute, 225 South St., Williamsto­wn, Mass. “Portals: The Visionary Architectu­re of Paul Goesch.” clarkart.edu. This exhibition highlights the decorative portals and passageway­s that predominat­e in Goesch’s architectu­ral work. Opens Saturday. Through June 11. Norman Rockwell Museum, 9 Glendale Road, Stockbridg­e, Mass. “Nora Krug: Belonging.” The award-winning artist’s graphic memoir, “Belonging: A German Reckons With History and Home,” and her most recent book publicatio­n, an illustrate­d edition of Yale historian Timothy Snyder’s “On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century,” will be the focus of the exhibition. Opalka Gallery , Sage College of Albany, 140 New Scotland Ave., Albany. “Up South: Reflection­s on the Great Migration by ransome.” Presented in partnershi­p with Black Dimensions in Art, Inc. this new body of work is deeply rooted in the artist's own personal migration story and family oral histories, recalled by his grandparen­ts as early as 1900. The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery, Skidmore College. “Parallax: Framing the Cosmos.” skidmore.edu/tang. The exhibition explores what our fascinatio­n with outer space reveals. Work includes scientific images, NASA photograph­s and contempora­ry art by Lisa Beck, Vija Celmins, Russell Crotty, Jed Lind, Giorgia Lupi, Josiah Mcelheny, Demetrius Oliver, Alice O’malley, Katie Paterson, Dario Robleto, Carrie Schneider and Alisa Sikelianos-carter. Kim, whose first language is American Sign Language, has garnered internatio­nal recognitio­n for work that challenges the notion that sound is solely an auditory experience. The exhibition of the American-born, Berlin-based artist’s work features more than 40 pieces from the past 10 years, spanning Kim’s artistic practice that includes drawing, video, murals and sound installati­on.
