William Gerlach, president and CEO of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, has been named the 2023 Distinguis­hed Citizen of the Year by the Columbia County Associatio­n in the City of New York. The associatio­n was founded in 1902 as a vehicle for county natives who had relocated to New York in search of careers to reconnect with one another and support charitable causes.

SUNY Empire State will celebrate the inaugurati­on of Lisa Vollendorf as SUNY Empire State’s sixth president at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Saratoga Hilton Ballroom, 534 Broadway, Saratoga Springs. She began her tenure as president of SUNY Empire State July 1.

SCHENECTAD­Y — Lynkwell, a provider of electric-vehicle charging network solutions, said Vice President of Operations Tanya Perrault will be a featured speaker at the Electric Vehicle Charging Summit and Expo running March 29-31 in Las Vegas.

She wants to discuss federal incentives given in the National Electric Vehicle Infrastruc­ture Formula Program, which hopes to fund up to 80 percent of costs for those looking to install chargers near major national highways.

The Northeast Woodworker­s Associatio­n celebrates 30 years of presenting its shows on Saturday and Sunday at the Saratoga Springs City Center at 522 Broadway, Saratoga Springs. Times are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $15. Children younger than 12 are admitted free.
