The choice: Democracy or dictatorship
A Democratic blue wave in the November election would benefit both major political parties and the country. Once reelected, President Joe Biden would continue his strong leadership despite all the naysayers by protecting our democracy and continuing his strong world influence. Congress would be best served by a Democratic majority to get things done for citizens since all Republicans do now is disagree to make Biden look bad and seek retribution to please former President Donald Trump.
The GOP would benefit from the blue wave by ridding themselves of fraudster, liar, lawless Trump and his clueless misinformed MAGA supporters like vice president hopeful and election denier Congresswoman Elise Stefanik and others. Moderate Republican lawmakers who dislike Trump will be free to reestablish their party without the threat of retaliation. They could look to the 2028 election as a chance at rebirth.
The authors of the bestseller “How Democracies Die” were clear when they said political parties must follow three rules: accept the results of fair elections; reject the use of violence to gain power; and break ties with extremists. Trump rejects all three but is not called out by Republicans who think it’s a winning strategy. Let’s prove them wrong again.
Those who would vote for a third-party candidate would only risk hurting Biden and increase the likelihood of reelecting Trump who has already announced he plans to be a dictator "on day one." Want to live in an authoritarian country like Russia, North Korea or China? Democracy vs. dictatorship. You choose. Raymond Harris
