South Carolina still rolling

Six score in double figures in rout of Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Bree Hall scored 18 points, Milaysia Fulwiley added 17 off the bench and topranked South Carolina beat Kentucky 103-55 on Sunday to clinch its third consecutiv­e outright Southeaste­rn Conference regular-season championsh­ip and eighth in 11 years.

With 6-foot-7 star center Kamilla Cardoso sitting out a second consecutiv­e game, the Gamecocks (27-0, 14-0) widened a 20-point halftime cushion to 74-43 after three quarters behind 12of-16 shooting on the way to 64% accuracy overall. Tehina Paopao made all three 3-point attempts among four makes overall in the quarter after missing her only shot before halftime. No. 2 Ohio State 79, Maryland 66: At Columbus, Ohio, Celeste Taylor scored 20 points and Ohio State clinched at least a share of the Big Ten title and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament .

No. 3 Stanford 81, Arizona State 67:

At Stanford, Calif., Kiki Iriafen had 22 points and 20 rebounds, Cameron Brink added 14 points and Stanford beat Arizona State 81-67, responding after an upset loss to Arizona without Brink to wrap up at least a share of the Pac-12 regular-season title.

No. 4 Iowa 101, Illinois 85:

At Iowa City, Iowa, Caitlin Clark had 24 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists for her 16th career triple-double

as Iowa bounced back from a loss to No. 14 Indiana.

Duke 69, No. 6 N.C. State 58: At Durham, N.C., Taina Mair scored 19 points and Duke beat North Carolina State, the Blue Devils’ second victory over a ranked team in four days.

No. 18 Utah 74, No. 7 USC 68:

At Los Angeles, Alissa Pili had 23 points and nine rebounds against her old team and Utah defeated Southern California despite 30 points from Trojans star Juju Watkins.

No. 8 Virginia Tech 74, North Carolina 62:

At Blacksburg, Va., Elizabeth Kitley scored 34 points and Virginia Tech won its 10th straight game.

Washington 61, No. 9 Oregon State 51:

At Seattle, Elle Ladine scored 23 points, Dalayah Daniels added 15 and Washington beat Oregon State to damage the Beavers’ hopes of at least sharing the last Pac-12

Conference title.

Kansas 58, No. 10 Kansas State 55:

At Lawrence, Kan., freshman S’mya Nichols scored 22 points to lead Kansas to its sixth win in seven games.

No. 13 LSU 75, Tennessee 60: At Knoxville, Tenn., Hailey Van Lith scored 12 of her 26 points in the fourth quarter and Angel Reese added 11 points and 16 rebounds as LSU used a late 16-2 run for the win.

No 15 Uconn 104, Depaul 67:

At Chicago, Paige Bueckers scored 30 points, Aaliyah Edwards added 23 points and a season-high 17 rebounds, and Uconn rolled over Depaul, beating the Blue Demons for a 25th straight time.

No. 17 Syracuse 63, Pittsburgh 53: At Syracuse, Dyaisha Fair scored 15 of her 23 points in the fourth quarter and moved into the fifth spot on the women’s NCAA Division I career scoring list as Syracuse used a late rally for the win.

Fair moved into fifth place on the career scoring list, passing Brittney Griner, who scored 3,283 points for Baylor from 2009 through 2013. Fair, who has 3,302 career points, trails Jackie Stiles (3,393), Kelsey Mitchell (3,402), Kelsey Plum (3,527) and Clark (3,617) on the women’s NCAA Division I career list. No. 19 Notre Dame 79, Boston College 55: At Boston, Hannah Hidalgo scored 19 points, Maddy Westbeld added 18 and Notre Dame overcome a poor first quarter for the win.

Virginia 73, No. 20 Louisville 68: At Louisville, Ky., Camryn Taylor scored nine of her 22 points in the fourth quarter, Kymora Johnson made three free throws in the last 14.6 seconds to lead Virginia to the win.

Men

No. 3 Purdue 84, Michigan 76:

At Ann Arbor, Mich., Zach Edey matched his season high with 35 points and had 15 rebounds, helping Purdue bounce back from a rough start to beat Michigan.

No. 7 Marquette 66, Xavier 64: At Milwaukee, Kam Jones celebrated his 22nd birthday by scoring 34 points for a second straight game and Marquette trounced slumping Xavier.

St. John’s 80, No. 15 Creighton 66:

At New York, Daniss Jenkins scored a season-high 27 points and St. John’s shredded Creighton for its biggest victory under Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino.
