BOYS’ BASKETBALL Brandon Saunders, Argyle:
Delivered a game-high 40 points, including eight 3-pointers, as the Scots defeated Hawthorne Valley 73-56.
Kellen Driscoll, Glens Falls: The junior produced a gamehigh 36 points Saturday in leading the Black Bears to an 80-46 victory over Ichabod Crane in the Class A quarterfinals.
Brady Cole, Maple Hill: Finished with 32 points, eight rebounds and six assists in helping propel the Wildcats past Whitehall 70-52 in Class C quarterfinal play.
Ras Elijah Godbolt, Albany Academy: Pumped in 30 points in a 78-51 win against Stevenson and tallied 24 points in a 71-59 decision over John Bowne.
Markous Green, Lansingburgh: Led the way for the Knights with 27 points in a 6649 victory over Hudson Falls.
Colin Richardson, Mechanicville: The senior standout scored 27 points, including a layup as time expired, in a 55-54 win against No. 2 seed Hudson in the Class B quarterfinals.
Keith Robinson, Hudson: Delivered 27 points in the Bluehawks’ 55-54 setback against Mechanicville.
Terrance Clark, Mekeel Christian Academy: The senior netted a game-high 26 points as the Lions defeated Mohonasen 53-41.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Brooke Kuzmich, Greenwich: The sophomore guard poured in 38 points, including eight 3-pointers, in leading the Witches to an 84-17 Class C quarterfinal win against OESJ.
Allison O’hanlon, Duanesburg: Paced the Eagles with 37 points, featuring seven 3-pointers, in their 71-44 victory over Hadley-luzerne in the Class C quarterfinals.
Taylor Holohan, Averill Park: The Northeastern-bound senior star delivered 36 points, 17 rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 74-40 Class AA quarterfinal decision over Mohonasen.
Karissa Antoine, Schalmont: Produced a game-high 34 points to lead the Sabres past Scotia 78-45 in Class A quarterfinal play.
Karaline Mccarthy, Scotia: The senior delivered 33 points in the Tartans’ 78-45 loss against Schalmont.
Audrey Shields, Emma Willard: Concluded her varsity career with a game-high 32 points as the Jesters dropped an 86-51 decision against Holy Names.
Alivia Landy, Columbia: Topped the scoring list for the Blue Devils with 27 points in their 66-43 Class AA quarterfinal win over Guilderland.
Sophia Bologna, Holy Names: Netted a team-high 26 points to help power the Panthers past Emma Willard 86-51.
Miranda Price, Stillwater: The junior generated 25 points in a 60-50 Class B quarterfinal victory against Coxsackie-athens.
BOYS’ WRESTLING
Liam Carlin, Burnt Hillsballston Lake: The junior made his third trip to the state championships
his most successful journey as he defeated Mason Ketcham (Washingtonville) 3-1 Saturday night in the Division I title match at 145 pounds to culminate a 44-3 campaign.
Kieran Cullen, Greenville: The senior advanced to the Division II state final at 145 pounds, dropping a 4-2 verdict against top-seeded Casper Stewart to finish his career with three state podium finishes and 223 career wins.
Ralph Keeney, Ballston Spa: A third straight trip to the state tournament netted the senior a third-place finish in the Division I 108-pound bracket at the state championships.
Taylor Beaury, Saratoga Springs: The junior overcame the disappointment of finishing second in the Division I 131pound sectional tournament by earning third at the state championships as the No. 6 seed.
Jesse Mullis, Hudson Falls: The senior went 35-5 this season and finished third in the Division II 190-pound bracket at the state championships.
Vincent Mastrianni, Colonie: Produced a stellar sophomore season that ended with a 47-6 record and a fourth-place finish in the Division I 116-pound bracket at the state championships.
Trevor Bishop, Tamarac: The senior, who eclipsed the 200-win career plateau during the state tournament, finished fourth in the Division II 138pound bracket.
Jacob Hanlon, Averill Park: Seeded No. 3 in the Division I sectional tournament, Hanlon advanced to state semifinals and ended up finishing fifth in the Division I 131-pound bracket in his first state tournament appearance.
Ashten Haley, Cobleskillrichmondville: The freshman won his fifth-place match in the Division II 124-pound bracket at the state championships to complete a 41-8 season.
Justin Mullis, Hudson Falls: The junior was one of five Section II competitors to reach the state semifinals and ended up coming in fourth in the Division II 131-pound bracket.
HOCKEY
Freddy Hicks, Shenendehowa: The senior forward scored his team’s first two goals
in leading the No. 1 seed to a 3-1 victory over Saratoga Springs on Sunday at Union College in the Division I championship game.
BOYS’ INDOOR TRACK
Neil Howard, Taconic Hills: The University of Michigan commit posted a victory in the pole vault (16 feet) and a secondplace finish in the 60-meter hurdles (8.16 seconds) at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational on Saturday.
Braiden Pulver, Shenendehowa: The senior finished third in the shot put (55-9) and fifth in the weight throw (53-91⁄2) at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational.
GIRLS’ INDOOR TRACK
Emily Bush, Saratoga Springs: The senior standout sparkled in winning the 3,000meter run at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational on Saturday with a time of 9 minutes, 28.77 seconds — well ahead of runner up Lily Lyons (Greenwich Academy) in 10:15.44.
Amelia Mcbain, Saratoga Springs: Earned a victory in the pole vault (12 feet) at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational.
Alycia Hart, Saratoga Springs: Crossed the line third in the 1,000 (2:56.04) at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational
Gianna Minehardt, Shenendehowa: The senior came in second in the triple jump (37-51⁄4) at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational.
Kaitlin Collette, Shenendehowa: Recorded a secondplace finish in the weight throw (43-7) at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational.
Petrina Zborovszky, Ballston Spa: Claimed third in the 60 (7.73) at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational.
Kendall Barnhart, Guilderland: The senior standout finished with a career-best time in the 300 (39.80), becoming the first Guilderland runner to clock less than 40 seconds in finishing third at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational.
Charlotte O’meara, Bethlehem: Finished third in the mile run (5:01.64) at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational.
