Mevius’ historic night lifts Saints

Elisa Mevius recorded the first triple-double in program history to lead Siena to a 77-40 thrashing of Rider on Thursday at Alumni Gynmasium in Lawrencevi­lle, N.J.

Mevius finished with 16 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists while Ahniysha Jackson added 18 points. Mevius is the first player in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with a triple-double

this season.

The Saints (17-11, 14-6 MAAC) concluded the regular season and enter the MAAC Tournament riding a fourgame winning streak.

Siena has locked up a first-round bye and the third seed in the MAAC Tournament and will play at 1 p.m. on Thursday in Atlantic City, N.J., versus an opponent to be determined.
