EARTH DAY ACTIVITIES
Several events to mark Earth Day are planned in the Capital Region and Hudson Valley. Here are some of them:
Albany
Events in the South End are Saturday. Gardens will be weeded and trash removed at 9 a.m. An Earth Day Celebration Party is noon to 4 p.m. at the Radix, 153 Grand St.
Albany Bicycle Coalition hosts its seventh Earth Day Bike Ride at 12:45 p.m. Saturday at Capital Hills Golf Course Parking Lot, 65 O’neil Road. (Rain date: April 27.) Helmets and signed waiver required. Minimum age 12. Riders younger than 18 must be accompanied by adult.
WMHT Public Media presents a weeklong series of content that focus on climate and environmental stories and issues. WMHT will hold a free preview and discussion around the PBS American Experience documentary, “Poisoned Ground: The Tragedy at Love Canal,” at 3 p.m. Sunday at the State Museum’s Huxley Theatre.
Amsterdam
Amsterdam’s cleanup sponsored by Century 21 Purtell Realty and Montgomery

Clifton Parkan Earth Day STEM Mystery Bag Challenge is 4 p.m. Monday at the Clifton Park Halfmoon Public Library on Moe Street. Lansingburgh
