‘Tiger’ & ‘Tigers on the Rise’

Priyanka Chopra Jonas narrates the Disney nature documentary Tiger, which follows a young tigress raising her cubs in the forests of India. The companion film Tigers on the Rise, narrated by Blair Underwood, celebrates the remarkably successful rebounding of tiger populations.

American Experience

Revisit the story of the 1970s Love Canal disaster, one of the most notorious environmental and public-health disasters in U.S. history. Unfolding like a mystery, the film “Poisoned Ground: The Tragedy at Love Canal” begins in 1977, when residents in a small neighborhood on the east side of Niagara Falls first noticed pungent chemical odors in their homes. Soon, dozens of families began to suffer abnormally high rates of cancer, asthma, miscarriage, birth defects and more. The battle for justice, led mostly by women, created the basis for the landmark federal Superfund program.
