Police ID Man Killed in Crash

A man who was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Coors Bypass by Cottonwood Mall last week has been identified by police as 19-year-old Timothy Zimmer.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. Friday at 1000 Coors Bypass NW.

According to Albuquerqu­e police, Masoud Khorsand-Sahbaie, 53, the driver who was traveling north on Coors, was transporte­d for neck pain complaints and is OK.

The driver who was going south on Coors and making an eastbound turn into the mall is William Langella, 22.

He was airlifted in critical condition but his condition was soon updated to satisfacto­ry.

Zimmer was a passenger in the right front seat of the vehicle Langella was driving. He was pronounced dead on scene, police said.

There are currently no charges. The case will go to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
