How golfers can help

-

Use the 90-degree rule with golf carts, which means staying on the cart path until you are parallel to your ball, then cross into fairway. Stay out of soon-to-be-roped-off areas. Don’t hit shots from non-grass areas on fairways. Move the ball to the nearest grass and hit your next shot without penalty. It’s considered ground under repair.

Use sand mix (soon to be grass and seed) from bottles on golf carts to replace divots. Sand helps grass grow quicker than leaving a divot.

Fix ball marks on green — yours, as well as a couple of others.
