Thursday: Albuquerque lost 8-4 to Memphis in the ugly finale of a fourgame series at Isotopes Park. The Isotopes left a franchiserecord 16 runners on base — shattering their season high of 12. They had 11 walks and a hit batter to go with seven hits. Their previous season high for walks was nine. Albuquerque’s Dee
Gordon was on base five times without getting a hit. He had four walks and reached by error. The announced attendance was 6,425, but fewer than 100 were left by the end of the 3-hour, 23-minute affair.
Memphis scored three runs in the first inning off Albuquerque starter Sean White (1-3) and made it 6-0 in the fifth. Memphis starter Maikel Cleto threw three innings of no-hit ball, but walked five batters and was replaced to start the top of the fourth.
