FESTIVAL OF TREES opens at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4 with “Mingle & Jingle,” a cocktail-attire event with dancing, hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, a silent auction and cash bar, at Albuquerque Convention Center’s southeast exhibit hall, 401 Second NW. Festival of Trees continues 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Dec. 5 and 6, and noon-5 p.m. Dec. 7 with a display of beautifully decorated trees, wreaths and centerpieces, live holiday entertainment, children’s activities and a visit from Santa. Tickets to Thursday’s event are $50; admission to the three-day festival is free. ID THEFT RESOLUTIONS will benefit from a Bowtie Bash, a food and wine pairing and silent auction from 6-8:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at Pasando Tiempo Winery and Vineyards, 277 Dandelion Lane, Corrales. This fund-raising event will help ID Theft Resolutions continue to educate the public, public officials and legislators about the challenges presented by the ID theft phenomenon and how to prevent and respond to ID theft and helping ID theft victims recover their identity

“BREAKFAST WITH SANTA,” a special event to raise funds for Casa Angelica, a home for children and young adults with developmental disabilities, will be Dec. 6 at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE. There will be two seatings: 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The event features a breakfast of Mickey Mouse waffles and Humpty Dumpty eggs, Christmas cookie decorating, crafts, face painting and a personal visit with Santa. Children can purchase inexpensive gifts for the entire family at Santa’s Workshop. Grown-ups may shop at “Angel Boutique.” Tickets are $10 for children under 10 years old and $12 for adults. A JEWELRY SALE to benefit Presbyterian services and programs will be in the main lobby of Presbyterian Hospital, 1100 Central SE, on Dec. 4 from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. and Dec. 5 from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. All items are new and priced at $5. In addition to jewelry, there will be accessories, scarves, purses and wallets. The sale is sponsored by the Presbyterian Hospital’s Volunteer Services Department.
S.A.F.E. HOUSE, a nonprofit shelter for victims of domestic violence, will benefit from the Women Entrepreneurs’ annual holiday social and dinner from 5:30-8 p.m. Dec. 9 at MCM Elegante Hotel, 2020 Menaul NE. Attendees are asked to bring unwrapped donations of new or gently used household items, such as twin sheets, linens and cookware, as well as children’s toys and games. The cost of the dinner is $20. TEM can receive donations online at www. albuquerque.va.gov. The E-Donate option allows donors to select from a number of funds at the medical center. The donations provide for such programs as recreational activities for both inpatient and outpatient veterans, comfort items to newly admitted inpatients, and emergency funding for veterans needing assistance with items such as food and transportation. A minimum of $5 is required for online donation.
