76ers test Hawks, who extend streak to 19

Mavs prolong Magic skid; LeBron outduels Wiggins

ATLANTA — Al Horford scored 23 points, including a tying basket after Philadelph­ia took its first lead late in the game, and the Atlanta Hawks recovered after squanderin­g a 21-point lead to beat the 76ers 91-85 on Saturday night and stretch their franchise-record winning streak to 19 games.

The Hawks led by 21 in the first half but the 76ers came back to take their first lead at 83-81 on a jam by Nerlens Noel with less than 3 minutes remaining.

Horford scored to pull the Hawks even, and Dennis Schroeder’s 3-pointer with 1:35 left gave Atlanta an 86-83 advantage. After a miss by Philadelph­ia’s K.J. McDaniels, Horford’s jumper gave the Hawks a five-point lead.

Horford had a game-high 11 rebounds, four assists and three blocks.

MAVERICKS 108, MAGIC 93: In Orlando, Fla., Monta Ellis had 25 points and 13 assists as Dallas sent Orlando to its eighth straight loss.

Tyson Chandler finished with 20 points and nine rebounds for the Mavericks, who held off a fourth-quarter Magic rally after leading by 27 early in the second half.

The loss didn’t help Magic coach Jacque Vaughn, who is trying to put off talk that his job might be in danger.

CAVALIERS 106, T’WOLVES 90: In Min- neapolis, LeBron James scored 16 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter to win a stirring duel with rookie Andrew Wiggins, leading Cleveland over the Timberwolv­es in Kevin Love’s first game back in Minnesota since he was traded.

In the final nine minutes, James scored 13 straight points for the Cavs, who have won 10 straight. Love, who was booed heavily, finished with 14 points and 17 rebounds. Wiggins had 33 points.

PISTONS 114, ROCKETS 101: At Auburn Hills, Mich., D.J. Augustin had 28 points and 12 assists, and Detroit held off former teammate Josh Smith and Houston.

Smith was booed throughout his return to the Palace, just more than a month after the Pistons waived the highpriced forward. He had seven points and seven rebounds, shooting only 3-for-11 from the field.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored a season-high 28 for Detroit, which snapped a four-game skid and ended Houston’s four-game winning streak.

RAPTORS 120, WIZARDS 116 (OT): In Washington, Kyle Lowry scored 23 points as streaking Toronto won in overtime for the second consecutiv­e night after losing a large second-half lead, defeating Washington.

Lou Williams added 19 points and Amir Johnson scored 17 for the Raptors, who tied a season high with their sixth straight victory.

Lowry scored seven points in overtime for Toronto, which squandered a 17-point, second-half lead Friday night before out-

lasting the Nets.

KINGS 99, PACERS 94: In Indianapol­is, Rudy Gay scored 31, Darren Collison had 23 and Sacramento snapped its eightgame losing skid by beating Indiana.

DeMarcus Cousins earned his 28th double-double of the season with 20 points and 19 rebounds. David West and C.J. Miles each scored 17 points for the Pacers.

GRIZZLIES 85, THUNDER 74: In Memphis, Tenn., Zach Randolph had 21 points and 18 rebounds, and Marc Gasol added 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead Memphis past Oklahoma City for its sixth straight win.

Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 15 points.

CLIPPERS 105, SPURS 85: In San Antonio, Texas, Blake Griffin had 31 points and 13 rebounds, and Los Angeles rolled to a victory over San Antonio, snapping the Spurs’ six-game home winning streak.

BUCKS 95, TRAIL BLAZERS 88: In Milwaukee, Jared Dudley scored 18 points and O.J. Mayo had 17 off the bench to help Milwaukee beat struggling Portland, which has lost three straight and eight of 10.

HORNETS 104, NUGGETS 86: In Denver, Cody Zeller scored a career-best 21 points and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had 17 as Charlotte routed reeling Denver.

WARRIORS 106, SUNS 87: In Oakland, Calif., Stephen Curry had 25 points and seven assists as Golden State snapped a two-game skid with a win over Phoenix.
