McDonald’s latest quarterly earnings should offer insight into whether the company’s efforts to boost sales are paying off.

The world’s biggest hamburger chain, which is due to report first-quarter financial results on Wednesday, has been making changes to its menu in a bid to stem a sales decline at its established U.S. restaurants. Earlier this month, it announced changes to its grilled chicken recipe in a move to hold on to customers amid growing popularity of rivals emphasizing health conscious fare.
