Meeting on water set for Monday

BERNALILLO — Bernalillo ranchers and other Middle Rio Grande Conservanc­y District water users in the area are invited to attend a meeting with Conservanc­y District officials on Monday, April 20, to discuss water issues, including new regulation­s.

The meeting is taking place at 6:30 p.m. at the Sandoval County Commission Chambers, 1500 Idalia Road, Building D, Bernalillo.

Derrick Lente, the MRGCD board chairman; Mike Hamman, the MRGCD’s CEO and chief engineer; and Anthony Rodela, irrigation systems operator, are scheduled to attend, according to an announceme­nt. garage or attic or go shopping.

Rio Rancho’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is coordinati­ng a community yard sale event that will take place on Saturday, May 9, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cabezon Park, according to a news release.

“The event is ideal for those looking to clean out their garage and attic,” the release reads. “Treasures are sure to be found by those who visit the vendor booths that will be on hand.”

People interested in selling items at the event can rent a 15 foot by 15 foot space for $30. Tables are not provided. The deadline to register is May 1. All vendors must be registered before the event.

Cabezon Park is located at 2307 Cabezon Blvd., which can be accessed by Golf Course or Unser.
