Betty Ann Kendall, 95, passed away in her sleep, April 17, 2015. Born in Louisville, Ky. Beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmothe­r, greatgrand­mother and great-great grandmothe­r. Remembered for her loving dedication, support, generosity, kindness and friendship toward others, while helping the needy, teaching and advising. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Victor Scott Kendall, Jr., her sister Martha Elliston, grandson Richard Reisiger and her parents C.H. and Edna Durnil. She is survived by her brother Bud Durnil and wife Pat, and by her children, Victor S. Kendall III, Janet Dreis and husband Dempsey, Margie Reisiger and husband Dave, Jimmy Kendall and wife Tracy, Doug Kendall and wife Mary, and Kevin Kendall, 13 grandchild­ren, 25 greatgrand­children and several great-great-grandchild­ren. Betty enjoyed life, especially family activities, going to church and participat­ing in church activities, managing her beautiful garden, cooking, watching the Kentucky Derby, and UNM Lobos Men’s and Women’s bas- ketball. She was a gifted artist, painting with watercolor­s and drawing and enjoyed sightseein­g, especially at the zoo, Old Town, Tingley Beach and the mountains. Betty was an avid reader, often reading five or six books a week. A Memorial Service will be Tuesday, April 21, 2015, 1:30 pm at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 1500 Chelwood Park Blvd NE, Albuquerqu­e, NM 87112. Private burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery after cremation at a later date. The family would like to express special thanks to Kevin and Teyla, Presbyteri­an Hospice, Father Jim Hunter, Deacon Sam Stern, and her church family including St. Elizabeth’s Guild and Daughters of the King.
