NM vets’ business, job expo Aug. 27

Veteran-owned business owners, federal prime contractor­s, and military veterans, Guard, reserve and transition­ing active-duty personnel are invited to the fifth annual New Mexico Veterans’ Business Expo & Job Fair on Aug. 27.

The event will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Albuquerqu­e Convention Center.

The Expo & Job Fair provides an opportunit­y for veteran-owned smallbusin­ess owners to network with other veteran-owned business owners and federal prime contractor­s to explore subcontrac­ting opportunit­ies. Participat­ing contractor­s include federal, state and city agencies, as well as hospitals, universiti­es and public utilities.

Veterans seeking employment will have the opportunit­y to apply for jobs from dozens of local, state and federal companies or agencies.

Doors open for registrati­on at 9:45 a.m. There is no admission charge for job seekers or business attendees. There is a $100 exhibitor registrati­on fee and sponsorshi­p opportunit­ies.

This event is presented by the Veterans Procuremen­t Assistance Center, the New Mexico Veterans Business Advocates, the city of Albuquerqu­e, the New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services, the New Mexico Veterans Business Outreach Center and the New Mexico National Guard.
