18-year-old killed, 2 teens injured at ABQ party
Police investigate multiple crime scenes in trailer park
An 18-year-old was shot and killed and two 17-year-olds were wounded when a party erupted in gunfire early Sunday morning.
Residents at a trailer park near Blake and Unser reported shots were fired around 4:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they found 18-year-old Arturo Villa dead in the street, along with two wounded 17-year-olds, Albuquerque police spokesman Simon Drobik said.
Police believe the teens were at a party at the trailer park and a fight broke out and spilled onto the street, where someone started shooting, Drobik said.
Nobody has been arrested.
Drobik said there were multiple crime scenes in the trailer park but said he didn’t know the specifics of what happened at each location.
“It’s all under investigation, there are a lot of witness who we are talking to,” he said.
Drobik said detectives were still at the scene investigating late Sunday afternoon.
“There are multiple scenes that are tying up a lot of officers,” he said.
He didn’t identify the two wounded 17-year-olds. One of them is in critical condition and the other is in stable condition, Drobik said. Police are asking anyone with relevant information to call them immediately.
“The injured victims’ names are being withheld for their safety,” he said.
