Butler scores 53 to lead Chicago past Philadelph­ia in overtime

PHILADELPH­IA — Jimmy Butler scored a career-high 53 points and E’Twaun Moore had seven of his 14 in overtime to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 115-111 victory over the Philadelph­ia 76ers on Thursday night.

Butler also had 10 rebounds and six assists while making 15 of 30 field goals and 21 of 25 free throws to help the Bulls snap a three-game losing streak.

Robert Covington scored 25 points and Ish Smith had 24 for the 76ers, who fell to 4-37.

SPURS 99, CAVALIERS 95: In San Antonio, Tony Parker had 24 points and San Antonio used a furious start to the fourth quarter to beat Cleveland, remaining undefeated at home this season.

Kawhi Leonard added 20 points and 10 rebounds for San Antonio, which has won 10 straight overall.

LeBron James had 22 points and Tristan Thompson added 18 points and 14 rebounds for Cleveland, which had won eight in a row.

The Spurs extended their home winning streak to 23 games to begin the season. San Antonio has won 32 straight at home dating to 2015.

The team’s last loss at home came against the Cavaliers on March 12 last year when Kyrie Irving scored 57 points in a 128-125 overtime victory.

Irving was limited to 16 points on 6-for16 shooting this time.

WARRIORS 116, LAKERS 98: In Oakland, Calif., Stephen Curry scored 26 points, with his first eight baskets coming on 3-pointers, and Golden State beat Los Angeles in what was likely Kobe Bryant’s last game in Oakland.

Bryant had eight points, six rebounds and three assists in 28 minutes. It was the Lakers’ final regular-season visit to Oracle Arena, and Bryant plans to retire after the season.

GRIZZLIES 103, PISTONS 101: In Memphis, Tenn., Mario Chalmers scored 25 points, including a leaning 19-foot jumper with less than a second left to give Memphis a victory over Detroit.

Chalmers was fouled on the play and missed the ensuing free throw. The shot appeared to miss the front of the rim, and the clock ran out with players scrambling for the rebound.

Chalmers’ basket meant the Pistons lost both games to Memphis this season on a late shot. Matt Barnes’ heave from half court with 1.1 seconds left gave the Grizzlies a 93-92 victory on Dec. 9.

KINGS 103, JAZZ 101: In Salt Lake City, Rudy Gay scored 24 points and hit the game-winning shot with 0.9 seconds remaining to lift Sacramento over Utah.

DeMarcus Cousins had his 21st doubledoub­le of the season with 36 points and 17 rebounds. Rajon Rondo added 13 assists and six rebounds for the Kings, one game behind Utah for the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference playoff race.

Gay hit a 17-foot fadeaway after Joe Ingles’ 3-pointer tied the score at 101 with 4.1 seconds left.

RAPTORS 106, MAGIC 103 (OT): In London, Kyle Lowry scored 24 points, Cory Joseph added 19 and Toronto beat Orlando in overtime at O2 Arena.

DeMar DeRozan had 13 points and 11 rebounds to help the Raptors win their fourth straight game.

Victor Oladipo scored 27 points, and Evan Fournier had 21 for Orlando. The Magic lost for the sixth time in seven games.

Lowry made two free throws to put Toronto up 105-100 with 43 seconds left in overtime, but Oladipo answered with a 3-pointer. After Lowry missed a shot, he stole the ball from Oladipo and was fouled by Tobias Harris. Lowry made one of two, making it a three-point game.

Nikola Vucevic’s last-second shot from near halfcourt bounced off the rim.

Vucevic had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Magic, and Harris had 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Down 88-77 with 7:34 left, the Magic tied it at 96 on Oladipo’s jumper with 32.9 seconds left.
