St. Germain, Virgina Jane

Virginia J. St.Germain Born in Utica, New York on March 1, 1932, daughter of Verna Shirley Niles and Elmer Stanley Niles I (both deceased), passed from this life at her home in Albuquerqu­e, NM on February 3, 2016 surrounded by her family. Her brother, Elmer S. Niles II of NY, survives.

She graduated from nursing school in 1952 and then obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health Nursing from Syracuse University in 1954. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of New Mexico. She moved to New Mexico in 1973. She taught and was a nurse for Los Lunas Schools for 15 years; and was a chief developer of and instructor in the Nursing Assistant Program for the University of New Mexico. She was a long time and very active member of Adat Yeshua Messianic Synagogue in Albuquer- que, NM.

She married Maurice D. St.Germain in Chadwicks, NY in 1955. Besides her bother, she is survived by her seven children: Stephen St.Germain of Merritt Island, FL; Maurice St.Germain, Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Oswego, NY; Kenneth St.Germain of Albuquerqu­e, NM; Paul St.Germain and his wife, Talana, of Albuquerqu­e, NM; David St.Germain of Albuquerqu­e, NM; Janice St.Germain of Albuquerqu­e, NM; and Lori St.Germain and her husband, Robert Otero, of Albuquerqu­e, NM. She is also survived by her 12 grandchild­ren and three great-grandchild­ren.

A private burial will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. A memorial service is to be held on Monday, February 8, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at Adat Yeshua Messianic Synagogue, 529 Jefferson St. N.E., Albuquerqu­e, NM (SW corner of Lomas and Jefferson N.E.).
