REHM: The photograph­y of William Rehm will be on exhibit from through Feb. 26 in the Placitas Community Library’s Collin Meeting Room. For over two decades, Rehm has photograph­ed California and the American Southwest from the Sierra Nevada and Death Valley to the ancient Anasazi ruins of Cedar Mesa. NATIVE AMERICAN EASEL

ART: “The Developmen­t of Native American Easel Art in New Mexico: The Dorothy Dunn Collection.” In the early 20th century, a group of Native Americans began producing a new genre of paintings depicting traditiona­l cultural practices and life experience­s. These paintings became known as “easel paintings.” Dorothy Dunn was an art teacher at the Santa Fe Indian School beginning in 1932. She encouraged art as a realistic and rewarding vocational choice for students, and many Native American artists adopted the distinctiv­e “Dunn Style.” Through February 2016.
