Eye on consumers

-

The University of Michigan delivers today its latest snapshot of how U.S. consumers are feeling about the economy.

The consumer sentiment index has been edging lower since December amid worries that slowing economic growth will hurt the job market. The February reading slipped to 91.7 from January’s reading of 92. A year earlier, the index stood at 95.4. Economists are projecting that the latest reading will show consumer sentiment eroded further in March.
