Learn more about Jemez project
Santa Fe National Forest managers are undertaking a landscape-scale restoration project in the southwest Jemez Mountains in an attempt to improve resilience to disturbances such as fire, insect pests, disease and climate change.
An update on implementation of the plan and its impacts on vegetation, wildlife, cultural resources and more will be outlined in sessions April 7-8 at the Santa Fe Community College. Thursday’s session will include project managers’ reports, while the following day will be opened to public discussion. Both sessions start at 8 a.m.; Thursday’s meeting will end at 5 p.m. and Friday’s at 2:30 p.m.
