Event offers ways to boost business

Albuquerqu­e Economic Developmen­t Inc., is holding an annual half-day event to provide local profession­als with informatio­n about how to boost their business.

“Connect To Success: Your Link to Valuable Business Resources” will be held 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. May 12 at CNM Workforce Training Center, 5600 Eagle Rock NE. Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m.

Two tracks will be offered: “Financial Tools for Business Growth” and “Building Your Workforce.”

The cost is $10 for the first registrant per company, with a 25 percent discount for multiple registrant­s from the same company. Tickets are available online or by calling 505-246-6200.

The SFid Accelerato­r Santa Fe will have its first Accelerato­r Demo Day at 5 p.m. April 19 at the New Mexico History Museum.

The five teams completing the inaugural 12-week program are ConvoBox, a smart suggestion box for employee feedback; HoneyMoon Brewery, which makes alcoholic Kombucha; Patrick’s Fine Sodas, probiotic beverages catering to health-conscious consumers; Wyrd, visual survey software for market- ers, designers, and artists; and ZummitLabs, a mobile marketplac­e for truly social shopping.

Operationa­l funding and support for the SFid Accelerato­r program was provided by the city of Santa Fe and private philanthro­py from the Santa Fe Community Foundation.
