MR. (MIKE) BRADBURY, Welcome to Lady Lobo basketball. You could be coach of the year … then BOOM! Blindsided with a kick to the gut and fired. Best wishes always.

— New Mexico fans who love you today, but complain when things don’t go OUR way

I WAS AT Arroyo Del Oso Golf Course on Saturday and saw something that was truly disgusting. Two young men in the mid twenties jumped out of their truck, grabbed their bag of clubs and headed into the pro shop. The disgusting part was that they parked in a handicap parking spot. They displayed a handicap sticker on their vehicle but it was obvious neither were impaired in any way. Come on guys have a little pride. There are truly handicapped people that really need those spots.

WERE THE TV announcers of the NCAA championship game even aware of the Tar Heels’ opponent? We saw virtually no views of the Villanova bench nor its coach, nor its fans. But worse was the announcers’ continual reference to the “bad luck,” “sadness” and “miserable way to end a season” for the Tar Heels. Did the announcers even notice that a better team had just beaten N.C. on a buzzer-beater?... I wish the announcers had made their comments part of a JOYOUS occasion, a victory for Villanova instead of a funeral dirge for North Carolina.

PROBABLY TOO LATE but a pretty good head atop the NCAA championship game would have been “Oh, Brother!” (See the (see story on Kris Jenkins and his UNC tie.)

REGARDING THE photo shot of (in Monday’s Journal) of Johnson and Hart …please could we have some photos of athletes with their mouths closed?

I BELIEVE THIS was the first time those of us basketball fans without cable or satellite TV will not be able to watch the game. Shame on the NCAA for allowing this to happen.

JON “BONES” JONES, we in the 505 are so over your petulant (take no responsibility, don’t you know who I am) act! As for the UNM Lobo Ladies BB team, not sure those pouty faces and slumping body language is buying into Mr. Krebs’s new hire, just a casual observation. He better keep Amy Beggin on board.
