Born in Los Alamos, NM, December 16, 1981 to William Spurgeon and Kerry Dick. He attended Los Alamos High School, UNM, and The Central New Mexico Community College. In 2005 he began dating his future wife Liliana Miranda, they were wed March of 2009 in Albuquerque. Robert and Lily had two sons Gael age 13 and Rocco Lloyd age 6. Robert was a devoted husband and father. His wife loved to hear him laugh and his two boys were the apple of his eye. Gael was three when they met and he took an instant liking to Robert. Robert nurtured him as Gael became his own. In 2009 they were again blessed with the birth of Rocco Lloyd. The smile and happy disposition of this young boy is given straight from his father, as everyone who has met them both know.

Robert was a Dallas Cowboy FANATIC. He loved football in general but when it came to the Cowboys, "never was heard a discouraging word". He was an avid video gamer and often spent several hours playing with Gael and inspiring a new gamer. His gaming technical knowledge was a perfect match for his profession.

Robert graduated from UNM and CNM with Associate degrees in Information Technology and Business. He worked at HP in Rio Rancho for several years and then moved to The Kemtah Group earlier this year. His coworkers from both his jobs speak of his dedication and loyalty. His willingness to help when asked and with a smile on his face and laughter to encourage all.

He is survived by wife Liliana; sons Gael Miranda age 13, & Rocco Lloyd age 6 of Rio Rancho, NM; mother Kerry Dick and husband Scott Dick of Los Alamos, NM; step sister Stacey Elwartowski of Gainesville, VA; step brother Matt Dick of Chicago, IL; father William Spurgeon and wife Lisa Velasco of Rio Rancho; grandparents Dorothy and Robert Carbone of Los Alamos, NM; grandmother Mary Spurgeon of Rio Rancho, NM; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
